Isn’t everything in America bigger and better?

Texas, also known as the “Lone Star State”, hosts one of the greatest weekends in Formula 1 motorsport at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin. Some European F1 fans may be saying things like, “America only likes racing in circles” (NASCAR) or “where’s the champagne, they only have Budweiser beer on tap” or “these meal portions are shockingly large here”.

Well you Euros need to chill…

The United States Grand Prix is epic – Welcome to the party!

History and Design at Circuit of the Americas

Have you ever heard the motto “Don’t mess with Texas”? Formula 1 drivers are always looking for a challenge and they have found one at the Circuit of the Americas. It’s an absolute beast of a racetrack.

German architect Hermann Tilke modeled the Circuit of the Americas off the best of Silverstone, Hockenhheim and Suzuka. It has high speed run throughs, ‘S curve’ sections and up hill wide turns. This circuit is big, bad and incredibly challenging, which creates an exciting competitive atmosphere at the United States Grand Prix.

Why should you travel to Austin, Texas?

What’s not to like? BBQ, beer, large steaks, Formula 1 racing, live music and incredible nightlife are all things you can experience on a trip to Austin, Texas. It wouldn’t be controversial to say this might be the best Grand Prix on the schedule. Oh and super models that drink champagne attend this race as well, just in case you were worried.

Grandstands & Hospitality

Huge grandstands and phenomenal views are available at the Circuit of the Americas. There’s really not a bad seat in the house but if you want a similar experience to that of other great American races like the Daytona 500 or Indy 500, you should grab a seat in the main grandstand.
