History at Monza

Monza is located just North of Milan and is a fan favorite for Italian Ferrari supporters. Every year at the Italian Grand Prix the grandstands are filled with tifosi (fans) wearing red in honor of the worlds most recognizable racing team.

Built in 1922, Monza is engrained in Formula One racing history as the premier track for speed. It’s also the site of the Italian Motorcycle Grand Prix as well as other European motorsport series. Calcio may be the national sport of Italy, but Monza is without a doubt one of the most prized sporting venues in the country. Only second to the Colosseum in Rome of course.

Why Travel to Monza?

The locals call it “La pista Magica” (The Magic Track) because Formula One drivers are on full throttle for nearly 80% of each lap. It has one of the oldest grandstands in sports. The Centrale Grandstand has hosted spectators since it was constructed in 1938. You can walk up the marble stairs and stand at the same place Alberto Ascari accepted his winners trophy.

Our modern Formula One cars are the fastest they have ever been. Monza has done an amazing job of keeping the track up to date and allowing it to push drivers to their limits.

Grandstands and Hospitality

Located in the beautiful area of the Royal Villa of Monza Park, there really isn’t a bad seat in the house. You should expect hospitality to be over the top when if comes to spectating at the Italian Grand Prix. The food will be ultra fresh and the Prosecco will be flowing, as that is the way of life in Italy.

The best overtaking spot at Monza is the Variante del Rettifilo with cars braking at 217 mph. This would be the number one spot for action, as well as first lap drama with drivers looking to gain poll position.
